Tom has been in Denmark several times, even in Vissenbjerg. Tom has been calling and teaching square and contra dance in more than 25 years. His repertory is huge and he is the choreographer of many excellent dances. We look forward to welcome Tom back in Tommerup.
Karin Dalager. DK
Karin is an experienced caller. Many of you will know her from the dances in southern Jutland and from Gråsten Summer Festival. Karin has a "sønderjydsk" accent and humour. We are sure, that both will help her bringing the dancers in the mood of smile and joy.
Sønderborg ContradanceHelga Prehn. DK
Helga will call together with Karin Friday evening. Helga is relatively new in calling but experienced, so we are sure she is the right person. Certainly, with her gentle manners and clear smiling voice, she will make a bright dance for all of us.
The caller team for this Friday evening comes from:
Sønderborg ContradanceEnglish Contra Dance Band. UK
The English Contra Dance Band is a fantastic but small english band. To here them in Tommerup 2008 was terrific. Linda really knows how to play a fiddle, she is an enchanting fiddle player. Gareth on the piano, support the tunes in beat and harmony in an excellent way. A fantastic performance, we hope many dancers get the opportunity to listen to this band. More on:
English Contra Dance Band , UKTrottinez. DK
Trottinez – has played so many times for us, it is almost a tradition. Trottinez will play Saturday in the gymnasium. It is a very well playing band, and we will have a hard time without them.
Reel de Quebec, DK
Reel de Quebec – we all know them. Many of us look forward to a fantastic time Saturday evening and all Sunday. No one can sit when they play their swinging traditional music from eastern Canada. Perhaps, if we are lucky, we will get a ”All Star Band” to the farewell party?
